Grew Up… witnessing the sins of a depraved society that values vice and ignores virtue.
Living… by himself in a high rise apartment. John keeps to himself, pays his rent on time, and doesn’t like to be bothered.
Profession… unknown; heappears to be independently wealthy. He keeps all of his money – of which he has ample amounts – in his apartment. But John certainly has a vocation: to expose how wicked people actually are. He is a self-appointed arbiter of right and wrong.
Interests… people watching, amateur photography, and keeping diaries.
Relationship Status… unknown, although likely single. John seems to just keeps to himself.
Challenge… demonstrating the evil of the seven deadly sins. John is meticulously following a schedule he set for himself. His challenge is to evade the police and carry out his violent plan – he is even willing to die to accomplish it. In particular, John wants to get the better of David Mills, the hot-headed detective who is tracking him down.
Personality… cautious, patient, misanthropic, and deeply disturbed. John Doe is disgusted by the banality and wickedness of the world he lives in, and is resolved to do something about it. John is many things, but not complacent. He explains, “We see a deadly sin on every street corner, in every home, and we tolerate it. We tolerate it because it's common, it's trivial. We tolerate it morning, noon, and night. Well, not anymore.”
