Living… in the boiler room of a Los Angeles radio station. After he was found being beat up in one of the hallways, Joe is recruited by one of the producers to go on the air and tell his life story. Typically misunderstood, Joe quickly finds his way into most people's hearts.

Profession… janitor at a radio station. Joe has worked all sorts of odd jobs, in everything from oil drilling to advertising. Despite his humble upbringing and the fact that life will occasionally kick him to the ground, Joe is always buoyantly optimistic: "Alls I got to do is keep bein' a good person. No matter what, good things'll come my way. Everything's gonna happen for me, just so long as I never have 'no' in my heart."

Relationship Status… crushing on Brandy, a childhood sweetheart from his hometown of Silvertown. However, his bully Robby also has a crush on her. Who will she choose between the two?

Challenge… finding his true parents. Joe goes on an epic odyssey across America, which has him making friends with the likes of a Native American fireworks salesman, a gator farmer, and an old mobster in the Witness Protection Program. Joe learns from these misunderstood members of society, and he also teaches them a thing or two. For instance, he helps Chicken Wing, the fireworks salesman, realize he has to diversify his products.

Personality… self-deprecating, brave, misunderstood, and kindhearted. Joe will stop at nothing to find his parents, and he won't let anything get him down or get in his way. He's just that resilient.
