Overview... a journalist on the hunt for a big scoop. Assigned to an American news service based in Rome, this American expat covers all manner of foreign news, including a diplomatic visit from Princess Ann. So when Joe realizes the young woman he met on the street is actually the princess in disguise, he decides to get an exclusive peek into her life by disguising his own identity as well.
Personality... confident, charismatic, and ambitious. Joe’s biggest interest is advancing his career, and he’s not above doing a little manipulating to land himself a big story. He often uses his charm and confidence to get what he wants, but at his core Joe is a decent guy with a moral code that always trumps his ambition.

Overwhelmed by her suffocating schedule, touring European princess Ann takes off for a night while in Rome. When a sedative she took from her doctor kicks in, however, she falls asleep on a park bench and is found by an American reporter, Joe Bradley, who takes her back to his apartment for safety. At work the next morning, Joe finds out Ann's regal identity and bets his editor he can get exclusive interview with her, but romance soon gets in the way.
