Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Grew up... in a life he has no memory of. The last thing he remembers is coughing up sea water and being rescued by fishermen. They spread him on a table and pulled two bullet fragments out of his back. And they also found a plastic tube under his hip with a bank account number in Zurich.
Living... at 121, Rue de la Jardin, Paris, and his name is Jason Bourne. That is what he found out when he visited the Zurich bank about his account number. They gave him a safety deposit box that had a French driver's license, close to a million dollars, a gun, and six passports with different names.
Profession... spy and assassin. Though he can't remember for sure, he's pretty certain he was very good as his job. For instance even as he sits in a coffee shop, he says, "I can tell you that our waitress is left-handed and the guy sitting up at the counter weighs 215 pounds and knows how to handle himself. I know the best place to look for a gun is the cab or the gray truck outside, and at this altitude, I can run flat out for a half mile before my hands start shaking. Now why would I know that? How can I know that and not know who I am?" Unfortunately with his amnesia, he doesn't even remember what side he's on.
Relationship Status... single. But that is starting to change. He met a free-spirited woman named Marie in Zurich who agreed to drive him to Paris. She needed money, and he needed a ride to escape from the people trying to kill him. Sounds like a perfect match, right?
Challenge... his memory. It's not just that he can't remember. He's got a bigger problem. As he finds out more about himself, he has to face the truth of who he is. But maybe it's not too late for him to become re-"Bourne" into a better man.
Personality... tough. Physically, he's able to run faster and fight harder than almost anyone. But emotionally, he is also tough to get to know. And you probably can't blame him since he can't trust anyone he meets. As he says, “I'm on my own side now."
