Jareth the Goblin King

Living… as lord and ruler of his magical Kingdom. Not only does Jareth live in a massive castle, he's also created a massive Labyrinth in front of it. The Labyrinth is an elaborate structure filled with puzzles and wrong turns that only a truly clever individual could successfully navigate.

Profession… Goblin King. Jareth has been ruling for a long time, and he's getting bored of his moronic subjects and the humdrum job. In hopes of finding an heir to his throne, he occasionally swipes a child from the human world whenever someone wishes the child away, forcing the human to traverse his Labyrinth in order to recover the child.

Interests… ballroom dancing, singing, and performing magic tricks. Jareth might be a powerful telepath, but he usually uses his powers to impress the ladies. And with his elegant clothes, sharp dancing, and habit of singing love ballads to potential lovers, it's hard for any woman to resist him.

Relationship Status… in love with Sarah, a young girl. Jareth once loved a sorceress named Mizumi, but he left her when she couldn't make it through his Labyrinth and find his heart. Beautiful, young Sarah might be a different matter, though, because so far she's been aptly navigating his Labyrinth. Jareth wants her to be with him forever, but much to his dismay, Sarah doesn’t want to stay. Jareth's not one for begging, but he's more than ready to plead with her to: “Just fear me, love me, do as I say, and I will be your slave.”

Challenge… convincing Sarah to stay with him forever. When she unwittingly wished her baby brother away, Jareth kidnapped Toby and brought Sarah to his realm with a challenge: solve his Labyrinth in 13 hours, or never see her brother again. Jareth loves beating people, but Sarah is bravely questing through his Labyrinth, overcoming every obstacle that he puts in her path. And the closer she gets, the more he falls for her. But even Jareth’s most powerful and seductive illusions may not stop the determined young girl.

Personality… arrogant, mischievous, and manipulative. Although Jareth seems like he’s just a harmless romantic, his powers make him a formidable foe. Jareth has a playful streak, and he loves to play games with people – especially when he wins. Which, naturally, is all the time: Jareth is extremely possessive and seductive, and he will do anything to capture the hearts of those he desires.
