Overview... a rising power. Despite opening its doors to the West only recently, Japan has already earned his place as a military and technological powerhouse. That doesn't mean, however, that Kiku Honda (Japan’s personification) has quite assimilated to Western culture. There's still a lot of culture shock involved when dealing with the West, and it's especially pronounced now that he's allied with two European countries, Germany and Italy. Still, if he can't go back to isolation, Japan is resigned to persevering – if he really has to, that is.
Personality... reserved, quiet, and almost debilitatingly polite. After several hundred years of shutting himself out from the rest of the world, Japan's not used to dealing with nations, and especially not ones like excitable Italy or scarily strict Germany. Still, several million citizens are relying on him, and there's nothing Japan fears more than letting his people down.
