Jake

Grew up… with his parents Margaret and Joshua, two hyper-intelligent dogs. Joshua was a famous adventurer obsessed about “toughening” up his sons in preparation for life out in the dangerous Land of Ooo. The family adopted a human baby named Finn, who was raised as Jake’s brother. The two took an instant liking to each other and continue to be inseparable to this day.

Living… in a tree house with his adopted brother Finn in the magical Land of Ooo. Ooo is a diverse, magical continent inhabited by countless species of intelligent animals, foods, wizards, and elementals. Most parts of the Land of Ooo are sunny and pleasant, but the continent is actually a post-apocalyptic earth. A nuclear conflict referred to as the “Mushroom War” wiped out human civilization a 1000 years ago, and created the conditions that allowed so many other species to mutate and carve their own societies out of the wreckage.

Profession… adventurer. Jake used to be a professional thief, but now dedicates his life to doing good with his heroic adopted brother, Finn. The two travel all across the Land of Ooo, helping anyone in need. While Jake lacks the combat skills of Finn, he possesses “stretchy powers” that allow him to elongate his limbs and change the shape and size of his body. These powers are extremely useful and often get the duo out of dangerous situations.

Interests… playing the viola, cooking, and kicking it with his best-buddy Finn. Jake is a laidback guy who can find the fun in just about anything.

Relationship status… committed to the Korean flying rainbow unicorn, Lady Rainicorn. Jake is deeply in love with Lady Rainicorn, who he was originally drawn to due to their shared interest in the viola. He’s learned Korean in order to communicate with her and meets her every day at 4:00PM sharp.

Challenge… helping Finn with his adventures. The pair faces new challenges every week, as they constantly travel to new parts of the Land of Ooo and find new people who need their help. Their life is completely unpredictable. Luckily, Jake is an expert at rolling with the punches, and he and Finn make an unstoppable team.

Personality… goofy, fun-loving, and distractible. Jake just likes to relax and have a good time, and always tries to look on the bright side. He cracks jokes in even the most dire circumstances, and almost never worries about anything. He’s much older than Finn and likes to act as his wise mentor even tough his advice is often nonsense. At times he has trouble staying focused, but always comes through for Finn when he’s really needed.
