Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview… a tortured, drunken artist who is trying to make a name for himself. Jackson had been worried that he’s nothing more than another Picasso imitator. But his paintings – large, swirling abstracts – are starting to attract the attention of the New York gallery circuit. Art and booze are the only things that have ever meant anything to Jackson, and the latter is threatening to consume him.
Personality… quiet, shy and reserved – at least when he’s sober. When Jackson is “six sheets to the wind,” as his partner Lee says, he will wail, fight, and scream himself silly. Jackson’s moods can vacillate from stoic and silent, to immature and violent within the span of a few seconds. Chances are you’ll always see him with a bottle of beer in his hand and a cigarette dangling from his lips.
