Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew Up… the son of a notorious pirate captain of the Caribbean seas. Jack Sparrow learned from his father how to fight, cheat, and walk with a swagger. Both Jack and his father have a unique style about them, a flair with the Sparrow brand on it.

Living… on the run with a price on his head. Luckily, it’s a lot harder to catch Jack Sparrow than the untrained mind might expect. For instance, Jack has no problem “commandeering” any seaworthy vessel to escape capture, and even if he does get caught, he still has strategies to “parley” his way out of many a tough situation. Upon one of his close escapes, he smirked and said, “Gentlemen, m'lady...you will always remember this as the day that you almost caught Captain Jack Sparrow!”

Profession… pirate. Jack takes pride in his label. Even when he encounters signs warning pirates of the deadly consequences of being a pirate, Jack Sparrow bites his tongue and soldiers on. He’s not afraid of death—especially as he’s already come closer to death more times than he cares to remember.

Interests… rum, swordplay, and ladies.

Relationship Status… involved with a number of lovers. Sticking to one would be a shame when there are so many beauties out there. He sweet-talks his women, and even when they learn that he’s been sleeping with others, he still has a way of coming back from a slap in the face and winning their hearts over once again. All he needs is a good bottle of rum and almost any woman becomes joyous company.

Challenge… escaping capture. He’s almost always being hunted by one group or another, whether that be the Port Royal guards or his old pirate crew come back to take revenge. He always has to look over his shoulder – but that doesn’t bother him too much, or so he’d like everyone to think.

Personality… eccentric and cool at the same time. He's also quite a talker. He could talk his way out of just about any mess – and any mess he couldn’t talk his way out of, he could likely fight his way out. Allow him to tell it: "Me? I'm dishonest. And a dishonest man you can always trust to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly...stupid."
