J.C. Wiatt

Overview... an ambitious management consultant living in Manhattan in the 1980s. But then J.C.’s work-driven world is turned upside-down when she inherits a baby from a deceased cousin. She must learn to balance her demanding career with caring for this new addition, but is overwhelmed and has a nervous breakdown after losing her job and investment banker boyfriend. After some time away (in rustic Vermont) from the hectic world she’s used to, she reevaluates her priorities and realizes she can have a fulfilling career without sacrificing her personal life.

Personality... smart, driven, high-strung, ball-busting, and organized. At least, at first. When we meet J.C., her career is everything to her, and she makes no time in her schedule to relax or find romance. Baby Elizabeth is a big interruption that throws J.C.’s work and home life into turmoil. In a panic, she says, “I can't have a baby because I have a 12:30 lunch meeting.” But it turns out that caring for Elizabeth might be just what J.C. needs.
