Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Living... no one knows where. It seems like Clint has some stability outside of his work life, but wherever his home is, it’s a mystery.
Visiting... pretty much everywhere. Clint can be assigned on missions that take him from the streets of New York City to the war-torn country of Sokovia.
Profession... spy at the covert agency S.H.I.E.L.D., a.k.a. the “Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division.” Clint may not technically have any superpowers, but he’s a highly skilled agent who’s regularly called on to serve alongside a group of super-powered humans known as the Avengers.
Interests... his bow and arrow. Clint is a master marksman and his preferred weapon is a high-tech bow and arrow rather than a gun. He’s most comfortable perched above the action, keeping an eye on everything and using a well-timed arrow to save the day. He once explained, “I see better from a distance.”
Relationship Status... unknown. Clint is basically married to his job, which frequently requires him to team up with his best friend, Agent Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow. If Clint does have a personal romantic life, he’s keeping it very secret.
Challenge... completing his missions. While Clint does care about doing the right thing, saving the world is his job, not his hobby. He completes the missions laid out for him by S.H.I.E.L.D., using his impressive set of skills to get the job done.
Personality... reliable, brave, resourceful, and sarcastic. Clint is calm in a crisis and great at improvising his way out of a tight situation. Without the brawn of a superhero, Clint has to use strategy and intelligence to win the day. But unlike many poised, efficient spies, Clint is warm and funny – often cracking jokes even when he’s in over his head. He once acknowledged, “We're fighting an army of robots, and I have a bow and arrow. Nothing makes sense.” He’s the human heart at the center of the Avengers.
