Oswald Cobblepot

Living... under the thumb of Fish Mooney. Oswald Cobblepot entered the criminal underworld to try and rise from the lower rungs of society. But somehow, he ended up as a lackey to one of the most domineering individuals within Gotham. Sure, he’s protected from the dangers of the city, but he’s also far from powerful.  

Profession... umbrella man. Cobblepot has the oh-so-important job of holding an umbrella over Fish Mooney’s head during inclement weather. When your biggest responsibility is making sure your boss’ hair doesn’t get frizzy, you’re bound to start feeling a bit disgruntled. And Oswald is highly disgruntled.   

Relationship Status... single. The most important female figure in Cobblepot’s life is his mother, Gertrud Kapelput, and he’s going to make her proud: “You watch mom, I’m gonna be somebody in this town.”  

Challenge... crawling his way to the top. Oswald might be at the bottom of the mob food chain, but he doesn’t plan on staying there forever. He has a talent for getting into the good graces of powerful people and has plans to use his alliances to take over an entire city. After all, “war is just politics by another name.”  

Personality... sycophantic, calculating, and ruthlessly ambitious. Oswald knows that he’s close to useless in a physical fight. But when it comes to flattery, manipulation, and politics, he can play with the best of them.
