Gina Porter

Grew Up… in many different areas. Gina’s mother is an employee for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, so the two have had to move around constantly for the past six years. As a result, Gina is frequently referred to as a transfer student, and was never given the time nor the opportunity to truly make friends at her previous schools.

Living… in Salt Lake City, a new sophomore at East High School. Gina hopes Utah will be the place she and her mom will finally settle down in. 

Interests… dancing and performing. Gina has immersed herself into the school’s drama department, trying out for the lead role of Gabriella in the school’s first-ever production of High School Musical. Gina is also a great dancer, recalling and improvising moves with astounding ease. 

Relationship Status… single, for now. Gina has too many admirers that it’s hard to choose just one. 

Challenge… being the new girl at school again. Gina herself says that as a transfer student, “you either eat or get eaten.” Gina is afraid to get too close to anyone, so she puts up walls that make her unapproachable. 

Personality… passionate and strong-willed but perhaps not as tough as she may initially appear. Beneath her intimidating exterior is just another transfer student longing to stand out of the crowd. While Gina is fiercely protective of herself, she also can be extremely loyal to others, making her a wonderful friend if she just gave herself and others the opportunity.
