Overview... former subject in Weapon X’s underground experimental lab. Now he runs the place, torturing volunteers with nothing to lose, hoping to unlock their latent mutant powers so they can be sold into super-slavery. But he met his match in Wade Wilson, the only guy willing to call him out on his terrible bedside manner and undeniably evil British accent. He turns Wade Wilson into Deadpool, creating not just a fourth-wall breaking superhero, but an enemy for life.  

Personality... sadistic, insecure, and ruthless. He has no qualms throwing Wilson into an ice bath for a weekend or waterboarding him to get those powers to show themselves. Wilson relentlessly makes fun of him, even as Ajax is torturing Wilson. He tells Wilson, “One thing that never survives this place is a sense of humor.” The fact that Wilson not only escapes, but is more maniacally humorous than ever really gets under his skin.
