Francesca "Frenchy" Facciano

Living… in the 1950s in a two-story house in California with her parents.

Profession… student at Rydell High School where she enjoys spending time with her girlfriends who call themselves the Pink Ladies. Wearing tight pink jackets and hanging out with a male gang called the T-birds, they are all too cool for school.

Interests… cigarettes, the Frosty Palace, and sleepovers with her friends. 

Relationship Status… in a relationship with Doody, a member of the T-Birds. With their cheerful dispositions and carefree attitudes toward life, the two have a lot of fun together.

Challenges… passing senior year, either at Rydell or at beauty school. Frenchy isn’t exceptionally bright, but her bigger problem is her lack of motivation. She sees beauty school as an escape from high school, but when that doesn’t seem to be working out either, as she has discovered when she accidentally dyes her hair bright pink. Frenchy needs to do some serious thinking about her life.

Personality… bubbly, dramatic, and loyal. She doesn’t always make the best choices, but she does have a big heart. After her friend Sandy gets hurt by her boyfriend, Frenchy comforts her, saying “Men are rats. Listen to me, they’re fleas on rats. Worse than that, they’re amoebas on fleas on rats.” Whatever the crisis, Frenchy is there for emotional and (slightly dubious) beauty support.
