Character Analysis

Overview... a stand-up comic with a mission in life. Fozzie doesn’t usually mind having rotten tomatoes thrown in his face. Although he dislikes bombing on stage, he often incorporates failure into his act, punctuating every bad joke with his catchphrase, “Wocka wocka wocka!” (Unfortunately, many of his jokes are fairly bad.) One of his best friends, Kermit the Frog, asks him to come to Hollywood for an audition in the big leagues, and Fozzie is quick to pack up his brown pork-pie hat and polka-dot necktie.
Personality… entertaining, though often unintentionally. Fozzie tries to be funny, but often fails in the conventional sense. Though in failing, his insecurities and tireless attempts to win back the audience are in fact the main reasons the audience is ultimately entertained. Fozzie has a heart of gold and loves his friends, but he doesn’t hesitate to fight back against hecklers and detractors. He might be a bit clueless and seemingly lacks self-awareness, but he’s comfortable in his own bearskin and will never stop going for a laugh.

After telling the story of Flint's last journey to young Jim Hawkins, Billy Bones has a heart attack and dies just as Jim and his friends are attacked by pirates. The gang escapes into the town where they hire out a boat and crew to find the hidden treasure, which was revealed by Bones before he died. On their voyage across the seas, they soon find out that not everyone on board can be trusted.

When Gonzo's breakfast cereal tells him that he's the descendant of aliens from another planet, his attempts at extraterrestrial communication get him kidnapped by a secret government agency, prompting the Muppets to spring into action. It's hard to believe Gonzo's story at first, but Kermit and friends soon find themselves on an epic journey into outer space filled with plenty of intergalactic misadventures.

Kermit meets and falls in love with her secretary, Miss Piggy. The jewel thieves strike again, and this time frame Miss Piggy. It's up to Kermit and Muppets to bring the real culprits to justice.

Kermit the Frog is persuaded by agent Dom DeLuise to pursue a career in Hollywood. Along the way, Kermit picks up Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and a motley crew of other Muppets with similar aspirations. Meanwhile, Kermit must elude the grasp of a frog-leg restaurant magnate.

When the Muppets graduate from Danhurst College, they take their song-filled senior revue to New York City, only to learn that it isn't easy to find a producer who's willing to back a show starring a frog and a pig. Of course, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy won't take no for an answer, launching a search for someone to take them to Broadway.
