Overview... he may look like a harmless teenager, but don't be fooled. Firo Prochainzeo is hardly someone to be trifled with. Not yet 20, Firo is already a rising member of the Martillos, one of New York City's camorra families (not, under any circumstances, to be confused with the mafia). But odd things are about in New York, and soon Firo is swept up in a world of mysterious women, alchemists, and rumors of a wine that makes it drinkers immortal...
Personality... loyal, brave, and affable – until you insult the Martillos or his friends. Then, the gloves come off. Despite technically being a criminal, Firo has a strong moral compass, and he is firmly devoted to those he loves. Firo might claim to not be too bright, but years on the streets make him a formidable opponent in both the criminal underworld and this new, strange world he's stumbled upon.

Baccano! focuses on various people, including alchemists, thieves, thugs, Mafiosi and Camorristi, who are unconnected to one another. After an immortality elixir is recreated in 1930 Manhattan, the characters begin to cross paths, setting off events that spiral further and further out of control.
