Fielding Mellish

Overview... American bumbler caught up in a Latin American rebellion. In an attempt to impress a socialist activist, Nancy, Fielding Mellish travels to the “banana republic” of San Marco, where a heated revolution is taking place. Fielding, almost by chance, gets wrapped up in the escalating revolution. While he almost loses his life many times, he gains something much more in the process.

Personality… neurotic yet simple-minded. Fielding doesn’t have much actual interest in politics; he’s more interested in appearing attractive to political-minded women. He entertains himself with his somewhat sarcastic remarks and entertains (and annoys) others with his dim-witted mistakes, which often get him into more trouble than he can handle.
