Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz

Living… in San Fernando Valley, California with his mom.

Profession… student of West Valley High School. Along with his best friend Demetri, Eli is skilled at programming and most other subjects. Unfortunately, Eli is frequently made fun of for a scar that he got from correcting his cleft lip in surgery, and poorly executed attempts from the school counselor to alleviate this only make things worse.

Interests… comics, Dr. Who, and Harry Potter. Eli and his best friend Demetri have enjoyed engaging in many different forms of nerdy fiction together for years. Recently, Eli’s new friend Miguel has convinced them to join Cobra Kai karate under Sensei Lawrence to learn self-defense to stand up to school bullies.

Relationship Status… single. It’s hard to make friends when you're at the bottom of the social food chain. However, things are starting to look up for him after joining Cobra Kai.

Challenges… dealing with brutal bullying at school, standing up for himself, and balancing his newfound strength and status with staying true to himself and his friends. All Eli Moskowitz wants is to escape the critical eye of his peers, to be “normal”. With the help of some new friends, he learns that maybe he doesn’t have to blend in to make a place for himself.

Personality… shy and withdrawn. But after Sensei Lawrence tells Eli to “flip the script,” he gets a blue mohawk to draw attention away from his scar. Eli becomes more confident and embraces his new persona, “Hawk”. He tells Demetri, “Let me let you in on a little secret. It’s not just a haircut or the back tattoo. It’s a way of life, man.”
