Overview… a nerdy scientist looking for a second chance. After his termination as a professor of paranormal studies at Columbia University, Dr. Egon Spengler decides to found Ghostbusters, Inc. with his unemployed colleagues, Ray Stantz and Peter Venkman. Now, the trio is trying to make it on their own, roaming around in Ecto-1, as they investigate and eliminate ghosts for the people of New York City.
Personality… socially awkward, and viciously deadpan. Egon is the brain of Ghostbusters. He comes up with the theories behind their paranormal studies and builds almost all of the company equipment. In his spare time, Spengler enjoys collecting spores, molds, and fungus instead of interacting with humans. He isn’t what you’d call a “people-person.”
