Eddie Finnerty

Grew Up… in Staten Island with his older brother, Sean, his father, Walt, and his mother, Catherine. His mother died when he was in his 20s. The shortcut-taking Eddie became the black sheep of the family. He’s very different from his strict, scary, judgmental father, and his hardworking, wholesome, family-man older brother.

Living… in a run-down apartment in Staten Island. He can usually be found in a dark alley somewhere or at Sean and Claudia’s house, on their couch, with a bag of chips and a beer in his hands.

Profession… con-man, arsonist, doer of illegal activities. Always looking for an easy way to make money, Eddie often finds himself in the middle of some illegal activity. Unlike his brother and father, who pride themselves on being hard workers, Eddie hates to work and will do anything in his power to avoid labor. In his own words about his illicit affairs, “Fortune favors the bold.”

Interests… making money fast and easy, womanizing, doing “favors” for people, lying, cheating, scamming, and anything illegal. When asked if something is illegal, he usually replies, “Not everywhere.”

Relationship Status… single. Eddie’s too focused on making money (and then losing that money) to be in any kind of serious relationship. He is a bit of a womanizer though.

Challenge… not getting caught up in his own schemes. Also, making sure that he annoys his brother and sister-in-law just enough to satisfy himself but not so much that he’s no longer allowed over to eat their food and watch their TV.

Personality… scheming, conniving, creepy, shady. It’s clear that Eddie is really not a good person. Though he sometimes does nice things for his family, he always ends up screwing it up somehow. Despite this, his family still loves (or at least tolerates) him.
