Grew Up… in the small, quaint town of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Living… as a successful mid-20s professional in a big city. But, what has all his success amounted to? In Baylor’s line of work, all his accomplishments could be lost with one single mistake.

Profession… a successful shoe designer. At least, he used to be. His new shoe collection, named Späsmotica, has been a complete financial failure – causing a loss of nearly a billion dollars for his company. As his boss puts it, "As somebody once said, there's a difference between a failure and a fiasco. A failure is simply the non-presence of success. Any fool can accomplish failure. But a fiasco, a fiasco is a disaster of mythic proportions." Drew is promptly canned.

Interests… ending his life. After getting fired and dumped, Baylor beings to seriously contemplate ending his life in a bizarrely elaborate contraption involving an exercise bike and a butcher’s knife. His suicide plans are halted once his family informs him that his father has died and that he needs to pick up the ashes in Elizabethtown.

Relationship Status… recently dumped. On the plane ride to Elizabethtown, however, Baylor meets a bubbly and friendly flight attendant, Claire. Could sparks be starting to fly between the two? By the end of the flight, Claire gives Drew her number and a map of Elizabethtown.

Challenge… surviving his extended family, and making all the necessary funeral arrangements for his father. Drew cannot seem to move past his failures, but he needs to overcome his own shortcomings and gain some perspective during this tough time. Beyond cremating his father, this trip is about once again finding himself. Claire may help provide the push he needs to see beyond his present struggles.

Personality… depressed, lost, and feeling like he just doesn't belong in the world. Still, while getting a phone call that your father died is rarely a positive thing, Drew’s case might prove the exception. He now has a second chance to get his own life back in order.
