Donna Meagle

Living… the good life, in Pawnee, Ind. Like her co-worker Tom Haverford, Donna does not let the dullness of suburban Middle America prevent her from leading a life of relative luxury. The two frequently paint the town red with their “Treat Yo-Self Days,” where you can find them at the spa or shopping for fine leather goods.

Profession… office manager in Pawnee’s Parks Department. Donna is more competent than several of her colleagues, keeping a backup copy of all files so she can restore them once co-worker Jerry deletes them. She has little patience for the minutiae and absurdities of bureaucracy and lets this be known throughout the office. 

Interests… her Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV, the musical stylings of her cousin Ginwuine, and supernatural romance novels. In her words, “I love any book about vampires, werewolves, monsters, zombies, sorcerers, beasties or time-traveling romances. And if I had an hour alone with Robert Pattinson, he would forget all about Skinnylegs McGee. I'll tell you that much.” 

Relationship Status… single, and a player through and through. Donna has a more active dating life than most of her fellow employees, but she tends to move through men quickly. She can’t help it – it’s in her blood: “Use him, abuse him, lose him. That’s the Meagle motto. Grammy Meagle taught me that. She died at 84 years old sandwiched between two 30-year-olds.”

Challenge… dealing with the stupidity of others. Donna does not suffer fools gladly and has a hard time tolerating her colleagues’ incompetence. Because of this, she stresses the importance of relaxation techniques such as acupuncture. Though even Donna is not immune to the occasional mistake, like when she unwittingly donated money to the Ku Klux Klan after a robo-call promised her lower taxes.

Personality… confident and sassy. Donna loves herself and loves to let you know it. She loves her car, her clothes, and her beau of the week. She shares Tom’s flair for luxury and emphasis on loving thyself. She also shows savvy in matters of business and occasionally gives her co-workers romantic advice.
