Dick Goodwin

Overview... a Congressional lawyer who graduated from Harvard Law School. Dick becomes the head investigator in a case against Twenty One, a popular 1950s TV quiz show that he suspects to be a rigged operation, rather than a legitimate game show. Dick tracks down the respectable current champion, Charles Van Doren, and interrogates him on a tip from the relentless Herb Stempel, a bitter former champ on the show. While Dick likes Charles personally, the truth will take some time to unravel.

Personality… observant, ruthless, and straight as an arrow. Dick is one of the few men who could say without a doubt that he wouldn’t take money and fame if it meant sacrificing his honesty. Dick is as law-abiding as they come. And although his methods for uncovering the truth are often slick, he’s always going to end up on the side of justice.
