Overview... NBC/General Electric executive with his eye on the company’s top position: Vice President of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming, a job that currently belongs to Jack Donaghy. The job would put Devon in a position to one day run the company, but Donaghy is just as ambitious and twice as smart. NBC/GE is a corporation shown time and time again to employ mostly idiots, but Donaghy isn’t one of them, and that throws a wrench in Devon’s plans.
Personality... intense, dishonest, and shameless. In the cutthroat world of corporate politics, no tactic is below Devon. Though Devon is gay, he marries the oddball shut-in daughter of Don Geiss, the CEO of General Electric, in order to align himself to inherit the company. He fails, just like he always does, because for all of Devon’s scheming, he can’t just stay out of his own way.

Liz Lemon is the head writer and occasional actress on the TV sketch-comedy show TGS with Tracy Jordan. As the creator of the show, she often feels it necessary to micro-manage lest it be ruined, in large part due to the incompetence and immaturity of of her crew and melodramatic stars. And she has to manage upwards too: her boss Jack Donaghy is an egomaniac.
