Overview... a young deputy sheriff who suddenly finds himself on a huge case. Dewey is challenged with finding a serial killer whose calling card is murdering teenagers after calling them on the phone and harassing them with various scary questions – often inspired by horror movie trivia. The media is involved now too in the person of Gale Weathers, so the situation has every chance of spiraling out of control.
Personality… goofy, but serious about his work. Dewey understands the gravity of the situation: murders are happening, and it’s up to him to catch the killer. When he begins getting leads, he opens up new cans of worms, entering the high school scene of secrets, lies, and parties.

Two years after the terrifying events that occurred in Woodsboro, Sidney is now attending Windsor College in Cincinnati with long time friend Randy. Meanwhile, Gale Weathers best selling book on Sidney's life has now been made into a major motion picture. When two college students are killed in a theatre while watching the new film "Stab," Sidney knows deep down that history is repeating itself.

A murdering spree begins to happen again, this time its targeted toward the original Woodsboro survivors and those associated with the movie inside a movie, Stab 3. Sydney must face the demons of her past to stop the killer.

Sidney Prescott, now the author of a self-help book, returns home to Woodsboro on the last stop of her book tour. There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger.
