Overview... a big-game hunter who can be seen flying his small plane through Africa. Denys meets and befriends the Danish woman Karen, who has recently married into the aristocracy out of convenience. Karen and her husband own and operate a large farm, where Denys often visits during the hunt.
Personality… free-spirited, minimalist, and anti-consumerist. Denys is a man of the wild, and harder to tame than the animals he hunts, according to Karen. He develops feelings for her but is clear about remaining free and individualistic, berating Karen for owning so many useless items.
