Overview… a stressed-out stay-at-home mom. Deborah is the strict parent, the “bad guy” who is in charge of discipline rather than her husband, John. It’s an exhausting role. To relieve some pressure, she hires Flor Moreno, a hard-working single mother from Mexico, as a housekeeper. Deborah barely speaks a word of Spanish, so communication will be tough, but anything is better than managing the household completely on her own.
Personality... controlling and neurotic. Deborah means well, but her tendency to judge and nitpick rubs those around her the wrong way. Don’t criticize her too harshly, though. You may end up triggering one of her yelling or crying fits.

Mexican immigrant and single mother Flor Moreno finds housekeeping work with Deborah and John Clasky, a well-off couple with two children of their own. When Flor admits she can't handle the schedule because of her daughter, Cristina, Deborah decides they should move into the Clasky home. Cultures clash and tensions run high as Flor and the Claskys struggle to share space while raising their children on their own, and very different, terms.
