Grew up… playing football. David was destined to become a professional athlete until he and his then-girlfriend, Audrey, were in a terrible accident. Although David didn’t suffer any injuries, he used the accident as an excuse to leave football and marry Audrey.

Living… when he should be dead. David was the sole survivor of a horrific train accident. All 131 people on the train were killed except for David, who walked away from the smoldering wreckage without a scratch on him.

Visiting… the mysterious Elijah Price. The wheel-chair bound Elijah suffers from a rare bone disease, and has been following David around ever since he survived the train crash. Price claims to know David’s true destiny – but David just wants Price to leave his family alone.

Profession… security guard. David has always been in the business of protection, which Elijah views as being significant. “You could’ve done ten thousand things, but in the end, you chose to protect people. You made that decision, and I find that very, very interesting.”

Interests… his son. David’s son, Joseph, has been getting into trouble at school. Worried that he’s losing his son, David searches for a way to reestablish himself as an admirable father figure. Elijah Price has an idea for how he could do it: become a superhero.

Relationship Status… married to his high school sweetheart, Audrey. The two love each other, and David had no problem leaving football to be with her. However, their son’s persistent issues have put a tremendous amount of stress on their marriage, sparking constant bickering between David and Audrey.

Challenge… discovering why he is invincible. David is forced to do a bit of soul searching after the train accident. He seems to have been given a special gift, one that he never asked for. Aside from a near drowning as a child, he can never remember being hurt or sick. Intrigued by his own potential, David wants to explore the extent of his powers, and then figure out the best way to use them.

Personality… moral and righteous, David has always had a strong sense of justice. But despite Price’s assertion that David has a heroic destiny, he can’t shake the feeling that he’s just an average joe. David’s power comes with an enormous responsibility – one that he’s not sure that he’s ready to handle.
