Grew Up... in England, struggling to become a successful writer.
Living… with Alice Ayer, an American stripper he met after a car hit her. Dan used to write obituaries for newspapers, but was inspired to write a novel about Alice’s life. The success brought by this novel is not enough to keep Dan from falling for a new woman – Anna, a photographer he meets after the book’s release. Anna refuses him, but this does not stop him.
Profession… newly successful writer. His novel was a hit, which he hopes gives him more options in life.
Interests… women. When interested in someone, he is willing to fight hard for her affections.
Relationship Status… in a relationship with Alice. They’ve been together for a year now, but it’s beginning to get dull. He is now passionate about Anna, even more so because she is not interested in him.
Challenge… succeeding in life and love. All Dan really wants is to be happy. His problem is that he is never satisfied with what he has, no matter how great it is.
Personality… romantic but deceptive. He admits, “What’s so great about the truth? Try lying for a change, it’s the currency of the world.” His morals, though questionable, are driven by his heart – and there’s definitely some dignity in that.
