Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Overview… a high-flying executive who may have just hit the glass ceiling. Dan, now 51, is Head of advertising sales for Sports America magazine. While Dan sees himself as a stand-up guy, the kind of salesmen who did his job with a smile and an honest handshake, the higher-ups are beginning to see him as a bit of a dinosaur. When the magazine is bought by a big media conglomerate, Dan sees his position being threatened by a young hotshot named Carter Duryea, who also has eyes on Dan’s college-age daughter, Alex.

Personality… experienced, wise, and kindhearted. Dan is a family man who just wants to look out for his wife and two daughters. He’s got old-fashioned values in a modern world.
