Cynthia

Profession… Pokemon trainer. She is the current Pokemon champion of the Sinnoh region. Cynthia dominates those who challenge her, and she helps train her Pokemon to become even more powerful. Cynthia also spends her time as an archeologist, searching the many caves of the Sinnoh region for anything that can give her more insight to the powerful creation trio. She has a great passion for ancient myths and legends, which inspire her archaeological pursuits.

Interests… hanging out with her best friend Garchomp. She raised Garchomp from when she was just a Gabite. Now the two share such a powerful bond, and Cynthia rarely needs to give Garchomp commands as she tears up the battlefield. Cynthia also enjoys visiting her grandmother Professor Carolina in Celestic town, although she doesn’t have any other family members she sees very often.

Challenge… discovering the history of the many ancient legendary Pokemon in the Sinnoh region. Exploring caves for ancient hieroglyphics and dusty tomes are the main ways she researches them. She also takes time to stop the plans of various evil teams, including Team Rocket and Team Galactic. She will frequently help Ash and his friends on their journey, especially when they find themselves up against the likes of Team Rocket.

Personality… kind, determined, and supportive. While Cynthia is cool-headed most of the time, she has lost her temper on occasion when battling opponents. Cynthia is a great mentor who gives assistance to the many trainers she meets. She takes great pride in her Pokemon and their power, boasting the most diverse Pokemon team of any regional champion. As she says, "All Pokemon and people were born because they have a part in the world.”
