Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Living… in an apartment at 123 Sesame Street. Cookie Monster lives by himself, but it's not lonely – plenty of his friends also live in the building, including Bert and Ernie.

Profession…  cookie connoisseur. Cookie Monster doesn’t work a nine to five, or have too many commitments. As he puts it, “C is for cookie, that’s good enough for me.” Why would he waste time on anything else?

Interests… food. Cookie Monster will eat anything, from cookies and veggies to dishes and hubcaps. When he’s not talking about letters and cookies, Cookie Monster enjoys puzzles and playing games with his friends.

Relationship Status… single. Cookie Monster’s heart belongs to cookies, and there are more than plenty to go around.

Challenge… resisting temptation. Cookies are always within reach, and Cookie Monster has to hold himself back from gobbling them down immediately since he knows eating cookies all the time isn’t healthy. Still, Cookie Monster is more than happy to eat his vegetables before his dessert: “Me also like broccoli and lettuce and lima beans. Me still Cookie Monster. That not a sham.”

Personality… friendly and inquisitive. Cookie Monster is curious and attentive, often asking questions about things he doesn’t understand, and coming up with good examples for the letter of the day. He doesn’t have a very strong resolve, and will always lose composure when in the presence of a cookie. But you can’t really blame him – monsters have to eat a lot to stay full! At heart, though, Cookie Monster is sweeter than any chocolate chip cookie, valuing his friends as "somebody you give up last cookie for!”
