Claire Brown

Grew up… strong. Her childhood made her mature faster than most kids since she had to take care of her mom instead of the other way around. Her mother suffered from a bipolar disorder, and they lived in a trailer struggling to pay rent every month. Her mother was cruel and abusive to Claire, leaving emotional scars. When she turned 18, Claire was determined to sever ties with her mother and moved out, but her mother just won’t get out of her life. 

Living… in San Jose, California, but her real home is the hospital where she works as a surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. 

Relationship Status… involved with another resident, Dr. Jared Kalu. Claire likes Jared, but not as much as Jared likes her. Claire just wants the relationship to be about sex, and nothing more. Claire is also attracted to her boss, Dr. Neil Melendez, and they are spending more time together outside the hospital.

Challenge… life and death. Every day, Claire deals with another crisis involving one of her patients. She cares so much for them, and she does her best to keep them alive. 

Personality… upbeat and compassionate. Despite the traumatic challenges she’s faced, she always manages to put a smile on her face. She works hard and has a level of compassion that the other residents cannot match. Claire is quite empathetic as demonstrated in her own words: “Everyone is dealing with something. We just have to love other people for who they are and hope they love us, too."
