Character Analysis

Profession… new student at Las Encinas, an elite private school in Spain where the children of the wealthiest families attend. Going to his previous school San Esteban wasn’t an option for Christian; the roof collapsed and injured Christian and two other students. To make amends, the building company gave Christian and the two other injured students scholarships to attend Las Encinas. Christian is especially impressed with the female students at his new school. As he jokes, “You smell that? Chicks piss Chanel here.”
Interests… socializing. As Christian says, "You really think I came here to study? No. I came here to meet the people who call the shots. And they aren't the ones getting the best grades, babe. They're in with the right crowd." Christian has become close with Ander, the principal’s son, who has helped him get into the good graces of the most popular students at school. And Ander is confiding in Christian some of the deepest secrets of Las Encinas.
Relationship Status… involved in a threesome. Carla and Polo have been together for many years and seem like an ideal couple, but they thought adding Christian would help spice up their relationship. The dynamics between the three have become shrouded in jealousy, secrecy, and exclusion that lead to several rearrangements of their agreement.
Challenge… having expectations that don’t always match reality. Christian is ambitious, but oftentimes his goals are not matched by his execution. He is not prepared for Las Encinas academically, showcasing weak French-speaking skills and poor grades. His plans are sound and logical, but he is rarely prepared for any slip-ups that may come his way.
Personality… charismatic, confident, and self-involved. Christian knows how to prioritize himself, which is not necessarily a bad thing. His brand of selfishness in most cases does not end up seriously affecting others, and it allows him to hone his own skills and find his sense of self in a new environment. Christian is humorous and likable, and with his recent exposure to the upper echelon of Spanish society, he does a great job at networking.
