Grew Up... poor, in a trailer park in Alabama with his loving single mom.

Living... at Culver Creek Academy, an elite boarding school not too far from his home. His love of a well-organized, perfectly executed prank has earned him the nickname “The Colonel.” This year, his roommate is a gangly new kid named Miles Halter, whom Chip instantly nicknames “Pudge.”

Profession... student. In fact, Chip is one of the smartest kids in his class.

Interests... pulling off pranks, eating “bufridos” (that’s short for “fried burritos”), and smoking like a chimney.

Relationship Status... dating his classmate Sara. But their relationship isn’t exactly picture perfect. For one thing, Sara is from a wealthy family, which puts her at odds with proudly working class scholarship-student Chip. He hates the rich “Weekday Warriors” who leave campus each weekend to return to their luxurious homes. Chip’s resentment often bubbles over into his relationship with Sara in complicated ways. When they hit a rough patch, he notes, “It’s stupid to miss someone you didn’t even get along with. But, I don’t know, it was nice, you know, having someone you could always fight with.”

Challenge... beating the Weekday Warriors in a prank war. Pranks are the norm at Culver Creek, but the Weekday Warriors take things to a whole new level when they put Miles’ life in actual dangers (and pee in Chip’s shoes too). Along with Miles and their friend Takumi, Chip enlists the help of his best friend Alaska Young, an emotionally volatile free spirit who’s always up for an adventure.

Personality... charismatic, militant, and hot-tempered. Standing five-feet tall and built like an Adonis, Chip is a fascinating mix of temperaments. He can be funny, charismatic, and a bit of a class clown, but he’s also deadly serious about planning and executing pranks. Chip is sometimes his own worst enemy, especially when it comes to his temper. He has a massive heart, but when he feels he’s been betrayed, he can be harsh and judgmental. Above all, there’s nothing he values more than loyalty.
