Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview… a playboy journalist with a knee-weakening smile. Catcher can count the number of women he’s dated on two hands – on any given day. He has little respect for any of these women, and even less for women whom he doesn’t deem beautiful. When women in his vast dating pool begin giving up men for chocolate, Catcher sets out to take down Barbara Novak, the author who started the movement.
Personality… charming, clever, and audacious. Known as “a ladies’ man, man’s man, and man about town” all at once, Catcher is beloved by most everyone who knows him – at least until Barbara Novak enters his life. To bring her down, Catcher must pretend to be naïve, humble, and polite. In other words, everything he isn’t.
