Carmen Sandiego

Grew up... an ACME detective. At age 20, Carmen was an incredibly smart and talented agent for the benevolent ACME Detective Agency in her home town of San Francisco. However, a decade later, she fell from grace. 

Living... who knows where? Carmen’s new villainous lifestyle constantly keeps her on the run, hiding out in various places across the globe. At any given time, very few people know exactly where in the world she is. 

Profession... leader of V.I.L.E. Carmen now commands the Villains’ International League of Evil, or V.I.L.E., a group of super criminals seeking to create chaos in the world while stealing everything they can. As she says, “See you next crime.”

Interests… being an honorable thief. While Carmen is a villain, she does have her own honor code and will even team up with her former friends at ACME to take down foes more dangerous than her.

Relationship Status... single. Other people would just drag Carmen down, and she can’t afford that. So she stays mobile and fiercely independent. However, her V.I.L.E. henchmen loyally follow her, and she does care for her evil pet, ACME-hunting cat Carmine.

Challenge... staying one step ahead of ACME. Carmen learned everything she knows at ACME, so she is pretty good at outsmarting them and thwarting whatever plans they have to catch her. However, they still pose a serious threat to her goals, keeping her on her toes.  

Personality... cunning. Carmen is a brilliant, resourceful spy who is nearly impossible to catch. It’s just a shame that she now uses her talents for evil instead of for justice.
