Profession... CEO of the Life Foundation. Publically, the bio-engineering company is dedicated to helping the human race survive into the future—from developing new medical advancements to funding deep space travel in search of other habitable planets. Behind the scenes, however, the Life Foundation is less magnanimous than it seems. Carlton Drake is more than happy to throw ethics out the window if it will allow him to make more scientific advancements.

Interests... attention. You can often find him charming the public in PR appearances.

Relationship Status... married to science. A handsome billionaire like Carlton probably doesn’t have trouble getting a date, but his focus is always first and foremost on the Life Foundation.

Challenge... harnessing the power of his latest discovery. Though it’s kept a secret from the public, the Life Foundation’s deep space mission arrives home with an unexpected discovery: Several symbiotic alien life forms that can only survive on Earth when attached to human beings. Eager to use these powerful creatures to his advantage, Carlton green lights human trials, despite the deadly results he keeps encountering. As Carlton puts it, “Look around at the world. What do you see? A planet on the brink of collapse. Human beings are disposable. But man and symbiote combined? This is a new race. A new species. A higher life form.”

Personality... seemingly caring but secretly devious. To the public, Carlton is a charming, philanthropic genius who just wants to make the world a better place. In private, however, he believes that harming and killing people is totally justified if it helps the greater good. Carlton’s already duplicitous personality is made even more complicated when he eventually connects to a combative symbiote named Riot. Together, Carlton and Riot fuel each other’s worst impulses, sending both of them down a villainous path of no return.
