Character Analysis

Grew Up… in the Upper City known as Piltover. Caitlyn was born into wealth and power as her mother is a councilwoman of the city.
Profession… enforcer. Caitlyn was expected to have a respectable job and continue her family’s legacy of occupying the upper class of society in Piltover. But Caitlyn rebelled against this and chose to become an enforcer, the equivalent of a police officer. There is still strong resentment between Caitlyn and her parents over her career choice.
Relationship Status… crushing. Caitlyn is becoming close to Violet. They spend a lot of time working together and rely on one another for almost everything.
Challenge… traveling with Violet to the Under City to search for a stolen artifact. While she is in the Under City, she is exposed to just how large the gap is between her family’s wealth and the suffering of the people in the Under City. Her lack of understanding creates tension between her and Violet since Violet was raised to resent the people who lived life easily in the Upper City. Caitlyn comes face-to-face with the reality of Piltover’s neglect of the Under City, which she has contributed to by being an enforcer of the laws that have left them for dead.
Personality… loyal and brave. Caitlyn has proven herself to be a trustworthy and loyal friend. For example, her parents sponsored Jayce Talis’s studies, and he and Caitlyn developed a strong friendship because of it. He was, for a time, not looked upon favorably by the city council, and, while her parents refused to associate with Jayce because of it, Caitlyn stuck by him and remained a friend. Caitlyn also shows her loyalty to Violet once their comradery develops into a deeper friendship. Caitlyn proves many times that she is willing to fight for Violet if it is needed.
