Overview... a thirty-something and soon-to-be father. Burt spends a great deal of time trying to calm his pregnant partner, Verona, who has become more and more stressed as her pregnancy continues. Burt and Verona hit the road to find the perfect place to a raise a family, and allow themselves to enjoy the trip as a kind of final vacation before becoming chained to a crying baby.
Personality… charming, devoted, and loving. Burt is going to be a wonderful father and everyone knows it– except for maybe himself. Burt has his own doubts about how he will fare as a father and what he’s going to have to do in order to change into the kind of man who will raise a child right.

Verona and Burt have moved to Colorado to be close to Burt's parents but, with Veronica expecting their first child, Burt’s parents decide to move to Belgium, now leaving them in a place they hate and without a support structure in place. They set off on a whirlwind tour of of disparate locations where they have friends or relatives, sampling not only different cities and climates but also different families. Along the way they realize that the journey is less about discovering where they want to live and more about figuring out what type of parents they want to be.
