Character Analysis

(Avoiding Spoilers)

Grew up… missing out on his teenage years, or so it feels. Brad works too much to have fun: he’s trapped between his dead-end job, the pressures of school, and his stale relationship.

Living… under too much pressure. Brad thought that senior year of high school was supposed to be fun. Instead, he’s working around the clock at fast food joints so he can pay off his 1960 Buick LeSabre.

Profession… former burger-flipper at All-American Burgers. Brad was fired from the burger joint after he told a mouthy customer, “Mister, if you don’t shut up I’m gonna kick one hundred percent of your ass!” Though he gets a new job at Captain Hook Fish and Chips pretty quickly, it's not much of an improvement.

Interests… girls. Brad is currently with his long-term girlfriend, Lisa, but the relationship just isn't doing it for him any more. He’s already tied down with school and work; he doesn’t need a relationship to cage him up any more.

Relationship Status... going out with Lisa, but hopefully not for much longer. Lisa has gotten boring, and Brad would rather just break up so he can fool around during his last year in high school.

Challenge… trying to have some fun for once. Brad's a bit depressed, and it's not hard to see why. His relationship's going down the drain, and his new job at Captain Hook is even worse than All-American Burger: in addition to the rude customers, now Brad has to serve them while wearing a ridiculous pirate costume.

Personality… desperate and melancholy. While he slaves away with work, Brad sees everyone else from Ridgemont enjoying senior year. Instead of being his time to finally party and unwind from school, senior year's been a hellhole, and Brad just can’t seem to catch a break.
