Overview… a popular kid from a wealthy family, who likes to think of himself as a decent person. None of his preppy friends ever push him to question his life, at least until he starts dating an outcast from the wrong side of the tracks. Blane has to make a decision between following his heart and following the popular crowd.
Personality… trusting, romantic, and self-assured. Blane knows how to sweep a girl off her feet, even one as averse to being swept as Andie Walsh. He’s naïve when it comes to the reactions of his own friends, and, like any teenage boy, he’s more than a little susceptible to peer pressure.

Andie is an outcast at her Chicago high school, hanging out either with her older boss, who owns the record store where she works, or her quirky classmate Duckie, who has a crush on her. When one of the rich and popular kids at school, Blane, asks Andie out, it seems too good to be true. As Andie starts falling for Blane, she begins to realizes that dating someone from a different social sphere is not easy.
