Bingham Madsen

Living... in a world where everyone earns merits by riding on stationary bikes. Merits are used as currency to buy food and other essentials. Living in a small cell walled room, Bigham “Bing” Madsen lives a life of drudgery, with his days spent bike riding and his nights spent combing through countless ads of suggested programming. He desires something more than just the same meaningless ride.

Interests... Basic Entertainment (somewhat). More than others, Bing avoids the more vulgar programming offered, but he still does explore the other options available. Although, more recently, he has his sights set beyond those shows. 

Relationship Status... single. Bing doesn’t have a significant other, but he had his heart open for a special someone named Abi who has a beautiful singing voice.

Challenge... earning as many merits he can by riding. With enough merits, he may be able to pay for the chance for both Abi and him to appear on a famous talent show, Hot Shots. Abi relies on Bing's support to take her shot, and he is dramatic with his own. Yet, the system makes it hard for either of them to move beyond the bike.

Personality... kind, philosophical, and brave. Bing is one of the few in his world who is prepared to rebel against the status quo, no matter what the consequences. He is determined to bring about change to society's state: "We don't know any better. All we know is fake fodder."
