Overview... a loving wife and mother. Beth has built an incredibly happy home life with her husband Randall and their two kids, Annie and Tess. Their marriage is built around open conversation, honesty, and support. She and her husband tell each other everything and tackle their problems together as a couple. That includes the fact that just hours after Randall meets his biological father for the first time, he invites him to move in with the family.
Personality... intelligent, empathetic, and open-minded. Beth is calm and grounded, which complements her more neurotic husband. She takes things in stride, whether it’s her new houseguest or the possibility of an unexpected pregnancy. She has a slightly sardonic sense of humor, but above all she’s warm and caring.

This is Us features a group of characters who only have the same birthday connecting them to each other. They include Jack and his pregnant wife Rebecca; actor Kevin and his overweight twin-sister Kate; and commodities trader Randall. The plotlines are all different, but what is consistent about the show is that all characters are completely relatable.
