Overview… hot-shot advertising guy. In the words of Ben’s boss, he can “sell Joe Blow better than anyone else in my shop.” But Ben, who has higher ambitions, wants to sell diamonds instead of beer and hot dogs. He makes a bet with his boss saying that he can make any woman fall in love with him. If he successfully courts a random woman, woos her, and brings her to the company ball, he’ll have proven himself worthy of the lucrative diamond account.
Personality…. confident, masculine, and a bit closed off to his feelings. Ben makes the mistake of setting his sights on Composure columnist Andie Anderson, who is, unbeknownst to him, writing an article on “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” The beer-drinking, sports-loving, emotion-fearing Ben has to put up with Andie’s (intentionally) clingy and invasive antics if he wants the promotion he so desires. Of course, there’s always the chance these two could fall for each other once they stop playing games...

An advice columnist, Andie Anderson, tries pushing the boundaries of what she can write about in her new piece about how to get a man to leave you in 10 days. Her editor, Lana, loves it, and Andie goes off to find a man she can use for the experiment. Enter executive Ben Berry, who is so confident in his romantic prowess that he thinks he can make any woman fall in love with him in 10 days. When Andie and Ben meet, their plans backfire.
