Character Analysis
(Avoiding Spoilers)
Overview… an aspiring children’s author living in the late 1800’s. She is 32 and unmarried, which her status-seeking mother considers to be the gravest of social sins. Though Miss Potter is quite content being single. It gives her more time to focus on her greatest passions: storytelling and drawing. Unfortunately, Beatrix has yet to meet a publisher willing to take a chance on her work.
Personality... independent, dreamy, and charmingly offbeat. Beatrix Potter is usually seen with a hand full of portfolios and a head in the clouds. There isn’t a man who can bring her down to earth. Instead, Miss Potter prefers her characters – Jemima Puddle-Duck, Peter Rabbit, and Benjamin Bunny – for company.
