Astra

Grew up… in Ghana, coming from a mystic past in which she apparently learned how to harness the cosmos. Wherever she is from specifically, it is safe to assume that spirituality played a big part in her upbringing given her seemingly divine abilities.

Role… controller.  Astra always has the entire map at her fingertips, free to control whichever areas she sees fit. Her presence is always strongly felt by the enemy team, who must be careful and alert when traversing across the defenses that she can set off at any given moment.

Interests… entering astral form. Astra frequently enters into this zone, which gives her a full aerial view of the map, to place down stars which she can utilize for a variety of strategic purposes. Once placed, she can transform them into a vision blocking nebula, a gravity well that slows and weakens enemies, or a pulse that stuns enemies in range. She can also create a cosmic wall which she can use to split up the map at will. Astra enjoys always having the tactical advantage over opponents.

Challenge… surprising enemies. Although Astra’s ability to place her stars wherever she wants on the map often gives her a tactical advantage in terms of control over a site, the fact that they are clearly visible to enemies, warning them to steer clear, puts her at a disadvantage when trying to keep them on their toes. Thus, Astra can sometimes be a bit predictable, and she must be creative to maintain some element of surprise.

Personality… celestial, self-assured, and strategic. Astra’s tactics are a level above the competition. In her words, "I am on a higher plane, chale. Literally." Confident and excitable, yet at the same time, cool and collected, Astra is evidently in touch with herself just as much as she is with the cosmos. With her ability to effectively control sites, Astra can easily be the glue that holds a team together, allowing her team to mesh and perform their roles to their maximum potential.
