Archie Andrews

Grew up… in the small town of Riverdale as an only child. When he was thirteen, his parents separated, and since then he’s been raised by his father.

Living… in Riverdale still, along with his friends since childhood, Betty and Jughead.

Profession… high school student. However, he’s done some construction work with his father Fred, who owns the main construction company in Riverdale. Fred wants him to take over the family business someday, but Archie doesn’t have any interest in that.

Interests… football and music. Archie is on the varsity football team despite only being a sophomore. However, his real passion is writing and playing music. Unfortunately, his father doesn’t approve of trying to make music into any kind of career.

Relationship Status… single. There’s a new girl in town—Veronica—and the two of them are immediately drawn to each other. However, things are not as simple as they seem, and Archie is hiding something from his friends and family.

Challenge… figuring out who he wants to be. He wants to do music, but doesn’t know if he’s good enough. School is challenging, but he doesn’t want to flunk out, and while he has a guaranteed spot with the construction company, that’s not his dream. On top of that, he and everyone else in town are potential suspects for the murder of a fellow student. It’s a lot for one teenager to handle.
Personality… emotional and honest. Archie wears his emotions on his sleeve, and that fuels his creativity and his music. He tells people the truth, and he always tries to help if someone’s in trouble. He’s loyal to his friends and family, and tries to be the person he thinks they want him to be. Unfortunately, his desire to please people can lead to low self-esteem and being manipulated.
