Living… in the Big Apple. Annie is a native New Yorker, although notably of Armenian descent. She is attuned to the blur of city life; she doesn’t really know how to slow down if she tried.
Profession… lawyer, but her code of ethics is questionable. As her career begins to soar, Annie is blissfully unaware that helping her best friend, Cassie Bowden, through some legal trouble will make her life a whole lot harder.
Interests… the law. A star litigator, Annie doesn’t focus on much else besides work. She loves legal work because of how challenging it can be; it keeps her entertained and on her toes.
Challenge… helping Cassie, while maintaining their friendship. Cassie has found herself in a whole lot of trouble, and Annie is who she seeks for help. Unfortunately, Annie soon finds herself in over her head. The two, never having spent this much time together, soon realize their relationship isn’t as perfect as it seemed. Annie struggles to reconcile her love for Cassie with the mess that she has been dragged into.
Relationship status… it’s complicated. Annie doesn’t do boyfriends. Well, not really. Max sleeps over most nights, has free run of the apartment, but is kept at arm’s length. Intimacy makes Annie uncomfortable. But with some prodding, she begins to realize that Max is worth opening up to.
Personality… brilliant, poised, and snarky. Annie calls it like she sees it. She can be a bit abrasive, but when she lets her guard down around friends she is charming and only a little bit sarcastic. After Cassie returns from a dangerous stunt, Annie rolls her eyes, “So you got chased by a dangerous criminal, and now you’re holding a bag of trash in my face? No, I have no idea why I was worried.”
